![]() Our Sunday School uses Group Publishing's FaithAlive curriculum. All the kids from Toddlers through 5th grade explore the Bible through lessons that are REAL (Relational, Experiential, Applicable, and Learner-based). This curriculum is designed to open up the classroom to interactive learning, so that the students can build strong relationships with each other, teachers, and parents through the Word of God. Activities in the lesson help them experience the verse as well as hear it. Our teachers are volunteers who love kids and Jesus. They're trained by our Children's Ministries' Director and Sunday School Board. As part of this training, they are CORI'd to ensure that church is a safe, loving place for our kids. Contact: Rebecca Petersen - rpetersen@newtonpres.org Pre-School (age 4) through 5th Grade 9:00 AM Service The children begin with their parents in the main sanctuary and then are dismissed to our Children's Music program after the "Blessing of the Children". Pre-school through 2nd grade children meet downstairs in the Children's Worship area. 3rd through 5th grade children meet in the prayer chapel.
All children through grade 2 need to be signed out of Sunday school by a parent or guardian or a designated older sibling. Please note: During the summer months through Labor Day, NPC holds one worship service at 10 am. Children Pre-K to Grade 2 go into the sanctuary with their parents and, after the Blessing of the Children, they proceed to Children's Worship at 10:15. Older children remain in the sanctuary for the service. Complete Sunday School programming resumes after Labor day.
