Kid's Own Worship
Ever wondered what happens when the kids leave the sanctuary after the Time For Young Disciples during the 11:00 am Service? Where do they go? What do they do? Well, here's the inside scoop.
Kids aged 3-5 head into the nursery school for lessons and playtime. Meanwhile, kids grades K-5 go to the vestry for snack and then continue up to the Junior and Primary departments for a kid-geared worship. This program is interactive with singing, dancing, skits, and crafts. The kids jump into the Bible story of the day and learn the art of worship through various ways to pray and styles to sing to praise our awesome God. Occasionally, a guest speaker from the congregation comes in to share their faith journey with the kids.
How can parents help? We need volunteers to serve as snack assistants and children's ushers each week. No advance preparation requiredjust sign up on the children's ministry bulletin board under Kids' Own Worship and meet our leaders in the Vestry around 11:15 am on your scheduled Sunday. We ask that if your child attends our program, we need one parent to sign up and assist on one Sunday every 8 weeks. This is your chance to worship with God's favorite peopleKids!
Children in KOW need to be picked up after
service ends. Kindergarten-grade 1 are in the Primary Department,
grade 2-3 are in the Junior Department, and grades4-5 can be
found in Room B32 in the basement. The beginners, toddler, and
nursery children need to be signed out of their classrooms.
