Local Organizations We Support

The congregation supports a variety of organizations locally from food pantries and shelters, to programs that care for prisoners and families of prisoners, to the hosting of international students. A few include:

Boston Rescue Mission
Provides services to the homeless and poverty-stricken people of Boston.

Boston Urban Youth Foundation
Provides mentoring programs to youth in the city of Boston.

Daybreak
A counseling and pregnancy resource center in Boston.

Emmanuel Gospel Center
Provides resources to help urban churches and urban ministries.

International Students
Serve as host families for Boston University Humphrey Scholarship recipients.

Newton Wellesley Chaplain
Ongoing support for Chaplain services at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

Place of Promise
Provides services to encourage and empower individuals to live to their fullest potential through physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational healing.

Roxbury Social Impact Center (SIC)
Provides academically-focused after-school program, with computer learning and community outreach.

Saturday's/Sunday's Bread
Prepares and serves meals to the homeless of Boston.

Straight-Ahead Ministries
Serves as a juvenile justice resource cneter, providing Bible studies and mentoring services

Verami
Provides immigration and career advising, information, resources, and
connections to international professionals, students, and researchers.

Vision New England
Offers support and encouragement to churches and pastors in New England.
Waltham Community Day Center
A drop-in center for those who are homeless, unemployed or just need a place to be. Offering resources for housing, employment and social interaction.
