Prayer

You're tired of good advice and well-meaning clichés. You're looking for something real—something powerful that will change your life.

It's time to pray.

At Newton Presbyterian Church, we've seen God respond in amazing ways to prayer. We've prayed for people we know and for strangers off the street, and God has provided direction, comfort, and powerful healing of body and mind.

The Prayer Chapel is consecrated as a sanctuary for prayer. Anybody may come to pray silently or aloud, alone or with others. Our Prayer Team meets there several times a week and you are invited to join us, whether it is to join in prayer or to request prayer. We meet on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings. On Sundays, we pray before each worship service as well as during the 11:15 am service. After each service, members of the Prayer Team welcome you in the chapel if you have a special need for prayer. We pray for the church, the community, the nation, and the world, and again, we'd love to pray for you. Be sure to check out our online church calendar for the most up-to-date meeting times or schedule changes.

Additionally, our e-prayer network sends out requests, updates, and praises. To join, send an e-mail to . Prayer requests are posted only if the person needing prayer requests or agrees to share it via this forum. We also maintain a confidential telephone prayer chain, so contact us if you prefer this way of sharing your need for prayer. Or just pick up a phone and call the church right now: 617-332-9255.

God honors prayer. It's a mystery, but we've seen it work. The King of the universe is calling you to draw close in prayer—why not accept this royal invitation?
