Resource Team Member:
These persons have no direct contact with students. Their gifts to the ministry are their possessions and occasional help. A resource person is also a cheerleader for our ministry; giving support to our leaders and talking positively about our ministry. Resource team members need only to fill out the
Youth Ministry Resource Card and will be called on only occasionally as the needs arise.
Prayer Team Member:
These persons have no direct contact with students. Their gift to the ministry is praying for the students, leaders, events, and community. They will be provided with a prayer calendar and a list of names to pray for daily. They will be called upon with special prayer requests and meetings. The prayer team members need only to fill out the
Youth Ministry Resource Card.
Event Team Member:
The event team members will commit to one monthly activity or more with the youth group. They will be drivers and chaperones for events. They will help organize and lead activities for the event as well. The event team member will be responsible for completing the application and all the other forms in the information packet.
Sunday School Teacher:
The Sunday School teacher will be responsible for organizing, planning and running their respective class. They are responsible to conform to the curriculum packet and safety standards outlined by the Sunday School Board and Director of Youth Ministries. Sunday school teachers are required to complete the application and all the other forms in the information packet.
Sunday School Assistant:
The Sunday School Assistant will be present for Sunday school class. They will help keep discipline in the classroom and assist the lead teacher as needed. They may be called upon occasionally to teach the class. Sunday School Assistants are required to complete the application and all the other forms in the information packet.
Small Group Leader:
Small Group Leaders are responsible for organizing, contacting, and running a small group of students. Content and activities need to be approved by the Director of Youth Ministries. In addition, a monthly report on the activities of the small group must be submitted to the Director of Youth Ministries. Small Group Leaders are required to complete the application and all the other forms in the information packet.
Non-Confirmation Shepherd:
Shepherds will be asked to pray for the student daily, to make casual contact at Church functions, and write encouraging emails/letters to students. Shepherds will be asked to attend a meeting every other month to receive training, encouragement, and talk about ways to improve the shepherd program. The shepherding relationship is a long term commitment to pray and care for a student.
Confirmation Shepherd:
When a student begins the confirmation process they will be asked to find an approved shepherd to help them through this unique season of their life. The shepherd is responsible to encourage and train the student to be a disciple of Christ. The shepherd will be responsible to meet twice a month with the student to discuss any questions and help with any outside homework or projects. The shepherd is encouraged to participate in the service and mission projects with the student. In addition the shepherd will be responsible to meet and introducing themselves to the student's parents. The shepherds will be required to attend a monthly Shepherds meeting and fill out a report that will be submitted to the Director of Youth Ministries.
